ABOUT BRIAN OLSEN

Leading and learning are synonymous to me. I believe we all have something to learn from everyone we meet, and I’ve been fortunate to meet quite a few people. For over two decades, I’ve used the logistics industry to expand my business knowledge and hone my leadership skills. I owe everything to those I’ve led, those who have led me, the colleagues who have worked beside me, and the clients I’ve served. These people helped shape me into who I am today. I take immense pride that my leadership has consistently strengthened teams and individuals, fostering meaningful connections and inspiring them to reach new heights. I choose to lead with compassion, understanding, and genuine curiosity. I aim always to make an impact and help others realize and exceed their goals.Just like everyone else, my journey is full of peaks and valleys, each contributing to my professional growth. The longer I’ve been at it, the more I’ve come to appreciate the valleys because it’s where meaningful growth occurs. I started on the ground floor and was fortunate to achieve progressive career growth and contribute to building an incredible organization full of talented people. Throughout this experience, I learned about organizational structure and how to develop and implement processes that create efficiency and effectiveness. I began to understand the importance of emotional intelligence and flexible leadership styles. I awakened a talent for analytics and business strategy. Our team constantly redefined the ultimate customer experience and challenged our competition to meet us at the new standard. Through teaching, coaching, and developing those I led, I learned what it takes to be a leader who makes a difference. Their growth and success constantly inspire me. This is my ultimate motivation.I’m not done learning, and I will never be. There is no such thing as mastering leadership. I’m proud of my accomplishments and look forward to continuing my unwavering commitment to continuous improvement. I’ve spent the last year and a half pursuing an Enterprise Leadership degree at Northwestern University, which has been an incredible experience. I aspire to join an organization that values a strong, healthy culture and has the desire to grow through collaboration and innovation.
