An avid student of economics and political philosophy since 2008. Interested in transitioning to a position involved in regulatory reform policy analysis such as promoting free trade, freer immigration, and freeing low-income households and small businesses from legal and regulatory hindrances. Willing to volunteer, at least at the start to prove my value added. Currently an SAIC (retiring at year end) senior full stack software developer of database-driven applications and project lead. Develops websites using ColdFusion, a variety of databases (e.g, SQL Server), AJAX, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, CSS, MS VSCode, Git, and various AWS tools (e.g, EC2, CodeCommit). Able to communicate well verbally and in writing with users, management and clients. Lifelong learner that loves problem solving, brainstorming, decision support, being an adviser, and adding value to systems and organizations. Experienced in project leadership and management, systems engineering, business administration and software development. As a volunteer have served as an advisor and project team leader serving those in need locally and globally.

   Design, develop, test, implement and manage database-driven rich intranet productivity applications as a software application development project lead for a Navy logistics organization. Delivered quality front and back end code that met our global user\'s needs in a timely fashion while improving the foundation for future changes. Identified and programmed hundreds of improvements during that time for 25 integrated modules. Proposed more improvements then any other user. Helped to migrate the original modules from Visual FoxPro including the reports (PDF, Excel, Word and XML) for all the modules. Researched and led the development team in implementing software best practices and reducing the code\'s cyclomatic complexity, while adding new modules and features. Improved database and user-interface designs. Re-architected and re-factored our 1 M+ lines of code. Developed context-sensitive help and other documentation. Helped to secure our application, making it compliant and achieve Defense Information Systems Agency approvals. Successfully migrated hosting multiple times by Navy mandate, including lastly to AWS. Held roles as a project lead, software service line manager, IT liaison; web and database developer; systems engineer doing requirements management, modeling and simulation; and reviewed proposals for the South Coast Air Quality Management District. Developed websites using ColdFusion, SQL Server, AJAX and other tools since 2006. Developed websites since 1995 with HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS. Used MS VSCode, Dreamweaver, ColdFusion Builder, Eclipse and FrontPage IDEs. Developed databases since 1990 using SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Access with Visual Basic, FoxPro, dBASE, Paradox and with several requirements database systems (RDD, CORE, DOORS and RIM). Have also built Lotus Domino collaborative applications. Used jQuery and other JavaScript libraries.
