ABOUT BRIANNE MAHON
I create ideas and bring them to life. How It Started:For as long as I can remember I have always had a keen eye for detail & passion for creativity. This is what attracted to me to roles in the start of my career that were focused on event planning & design. I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of producing intimate weddings to large-scale events that attract over people annually. One year into working for a Saskatchewan-based environmental firm I found myself in the middle of an acquisition. Over the next few years this gave me a new opportunity to work on a growing multi-national brand and ultimately launch its IPO. As a strategist I was able to bring my analytical mind to the forefront by focusing on crafting marketing, branding, & communication strategies that supported business development goals. The project that I am most proud of was spearheading the logistics and financing of a multi-national photo shoot that spanned 9 cities and 85 locations, included working with 40 members of the management team, coordinating 300+ people, and 125+ pieces of heavy equipment. The content from the photo shoot was then turned into end use items, which included producing a digital asset library of over images, corporate video suite, and brochures to support North American business development initiatives. How It’s Going:I am most passionate about projects that not only benefit the organization I work for, but also the community. When I had the opportunity specialize in community investment & sponsorship and launch GFL’s charitable giving program, The Full Circle Project, across North American operations it got my blood pumping — it was the perfect marriage of my strongest skill sets. I handle full-cycle project management for community projects from grant submission, to committee review, budgeting, execution, communication & reporting. Since leading The Full Circle Project, I have facilitated donations across 9 Canadian Provinces and 21 US States, increased participation by area by +300%, branch participation by +263%, donations by +446% and projects by +230%. Community impacts included helping serve over meals, donating a generator to a women’s shelter to help keep people safe and warm, contributing to an organization that promotes financial stability and racial inclusion, to name a few. When I’m not developing impactful partnerships, I love photography, design, cooking, traveling and exploring the Rockies with my puppy Rosé.
