Flight Operations (FOD) EVA Systems Group CX35 Extravehicular activity (EVA) is any activity done by an astronaut or cosmonaut outside a spacecraft beyond the Earth\'s appreciable atmosphere.• Spacesuit Glove Experto Contribute to team efforts to upgrade procedures by writing, testing, collecting data (iteratively) and implementing (ground & on ISS) procedures to maximize Glove assembly capability and cut costs for current and future missionso Develop and design post-EVA Glove photo collection concept to streamline post-EVA processes, minimize crew time, and minimize photo requests• EVA flight following, OJT astronaut training to operate the Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) and perform spacewalks onboard the International Space Station • Work towards becoming fully certified instructor in EVA/Systems to train astronauts, flight directors, and multi-discipline engineers on EVA Flight Control operations, ISS Airlock and EMU hardware, and emergency procedures• Develop operational concepts, procedures, training tools, console support products, and training materials for EVA systems• EVA Software representative, collaborated with cross-functional teams to gain organizational goal insight/obstacles and create innovative solutionsxEVA xEMU Team• Support design, testing and data collection efforts for xEMU (next generation spacesuit) and xEMU training materials in support of future moon/mars EVAs (e.g. employed Bedford scales for xEVA xEMU simulations, visual design for purge valve, designed xEMU pressure gauge, training EMU schematic design collaboration)• Designed console data displays for real time use to lower flight controller cognitive load and increase efficiency (e.g. font psychology/typography science, eye tracking, and UX/UI considerations for interacting, usability, information architecture, heuristic evaluation, and engagement).• Develop mission control console design guidelines to prevent inefficiency and standardize console displays
