As an assurance associate, I am responsible for performing financial statement audits, reviews, and compilations to ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other applicable accounting standards alongside my team and other support staff. This includes evaluating the effectiveness of an organization\'s internal controls, financial systems, and processes. We also perform risk assessments and testing of controls to provide recommendations for improvement.A skill I hope to refine in the near future is communicating findings and providing guidance to clients and stakeholders on financial reporting requirements and best practices. The best part though, is the ample opportunity to collaborate with other assurance professionals and team members on our specific projects and engagements.
