ABOUT BRIANNA R. BOYD
Brianna Boyd is in her seventh professional year conducting archaeological investigations in California and the western Great Basin. As a field director/crew chief she leads and trains staff during survey inventory and cultural resource testing and monitoring efforts in conjunction at times with local tribal communities. She has widespread experience documenting cultural resources using the standard site record forms (DPR 523 series) including large scale Pre-historic and Historic resources. When applicable Ms. Boyd conducts archival research, literature reviews, and records searches in support of background research efforts, desktop reviews, and written project and technical reports. Ms. Boyd has worked broadly with the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG & E) through their vegetation management program. She leads a team in QAQC/paperwork review efforts and oversees deliverables to the client. Furthermore, she assists in on the ground hazard tree removal and resource protection as senior field staff and select personnel under specialized permits. Ms. Boyd has been involved in supporting reconstruction of utility infrastructure, vegetation management and debris clean up following catastrophic wildfire disaster events. Additionally, she has experience in Wildland Fire Fighting, Museum Archiving and Accessioning, Wilderness Stewarding (wildlife, biological, and archaeological), Outdoor Education/Interpretation and Wilderness and Adult/Child First Aid. In her off time outside of archaeology she substitute teaches (K-12 and Special Education) and offers services as Holistic Health and Wellness Teacher.
