About Brianna Forbes Silverstein
Brianna has participated in all areas of patent litigation, from pre-filing investigation and discovery through trial and preparing cases for appeal. She also has experience negotiating settlements and license agreements, both in connection with and outside of litigation. Brianna has litigated in various federal courts, including the Eastern District of Texas and the District of Delaware. Additionally, she has litigated in administrative tribunals, such as the International Trade Commission and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. She has litigated cases in various technology fields, including mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science. Brianna is a co-founder and contributor to Drinker Biddle’s PTAB Trial Blog.In addition to patent litigation, Brianna also has experience with both trademark and copyright litigation. She has litigated these matters both in federal court as well as at the Copyright Royalty Board. Additionally, she has extensive experience in products liability and mass tort law, and employment law. She has also litigated general business dispute and contract matters.In 2014 and 2015 Brianna was selected by her peers as a DC Super Lawyers Rising Star in the area of intellectual property litigation.In General. Brianna earned her J.D, with honors, from The George Washington University School of Law in 2009. While in law school she was a managing editor for The George Washington International Law Review and was co-president of GW Street Law. During law school, Brianna was also a law clerk at the National School Boards Association and at the U.S. Department of Justice, Civil Division, National Courts. She graduated from the University of Maryland, Phi Beta Kappa, in 2006 with a B.A. in government and politics.
