ABOUT BRIAN FRANKLIN
Prior to residency, I founded, led, and sold Frontier Tutoring, the largest Alaska-based test prep and tutoring brand. My 15-year journey as an entrepreneur and general manager equipped me with firsthand experience leading every business domain. As a former aviation management consultant and licensed pilot, I have also long been fascinated by managing complex operations—including the power of operational excellence to benefit employees, customers, and financial stakeholders alike. Through research and implementation, my focus is on improving hospital patient flow to make health care safer and more accessible for all. As an emergency medicine resident physician, my goal is to train to deliver exceptional bedside care in the ED, while also advocating for patients at large by improving the processes and systems underlying their care.
