As Chief Executive Officer of Agios Pharmaceuticals, I am proud to lead a passionate team of experts dedicated to transforming the treatment landscape for rare diseases. Today, 95% of the more than known rare diseases still lack an approved treatment or cure. That’s what we’re determined to change. With over 30 years of experience leading diverse teams across top biopharmaceutical organizations, I’ve had the opportunity to drive rapid and sustainable growth that fosters continuous innovation. Together with our partners, I have successfully developed and commercialized several medicines that are helping to treat debilitating, life-threatening diseases worldwide. It is truly humbling to see the hope that these therapies have brought to thousands of patients and their loved ones. As a leader, I always strive to create a culture of trust, openness and collaboration. This allows me to connect with my team members not just as professionals, but as people.
