About Brian Fujito
I am an enthusiastic builder of technology solutions, teams, and companies. Ever since taking a \"High Tech Entrepreneurship\" course during my Princeton Undergrad in \'99, I\'ve had a strong interest in applying Computer Science and Engineering principles to the challenging problem of building and growing businesses.I helped start Tios Capital in 2012 with my long-time friend and colleague, Duncan Rein. We have a small but amazingly productive team that collaborates together trade profitably in wholesale power markets. I oversee the Tech and Quant teams out of our Virginia office. My team collaborates to build solutions that merge the worlds of Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, and Financial Engineering. We deal with interesting technical and quantitative challenges. In addition to the typical problem solving around full-stack web development, we get to tackle problems involving concepts such as:* Modeling and Machine Learning* Mathematical Optimizations* Map-Reduce and other distributed computing * Graph Theory* Flexible systems management and scaling with AWSAlong with the myriad interesting technical and quantitative challenges, I have the great privilege of leading a team of amazingly talented professionals. We intentionally work to help one another grow. I have had the joy of watching people under my leadership grow dramatically in their time at Tios Capital as we push them to take on larger, harder projects over time and grow their skill sets over time.
