About Brian Alexander
It feels like I’ve spent my entire career at the intersection of the automotive industry and technology. From my post college days selling cars at Volkswagen Santa Monica, to my leadership in digital advertising negotiating the first automotive inventory upload deals for Toyota Certified Pre-Owned (TCUV), to pioneering Connected TV advertising programs for brands like Nissan, Infiniti and Toyota as early as 2014. Ultimately, I found myself working alongside the marketing teams at Toyota, Kia, Jaguar and Subaru supporting their consumer-focused digital messaging initiatives while at LivePerson.At the same time I was always the go-to person for friends and family when it came to buying cars. For myself I experimented early with new ways of purchasing: In 2014 I leased a Chevy Volt entirely over text, voice and email without ever setting foot in a dealership. The car was delivered to my door and I signed on the spot. By 2018 I bought my first car sight unseen from a thousand miles away. I still remember thinking when eBay Motors launched in the early \"who would ever buy a car without kicking the tires?* Since that first long-distance purchase I’ve bought several more cars from across the country. It’s a mix of art and science to get it right and I feel like I’ve perfected it.Through it all one thing has never changed, my passion for helping people buy cars. What I discovered is that car buying doesn’t have to be stressful. It can be simple, transparent and even enjoyable. That belief inspired me to launch Zen Car Buying, a modern approach to the car buying process.
