ABOUT BRIAN CONRAD
I am currently a Project Manager for Fred Smith Company Construction in the structures division. I lead all aspects of project management from project buyout, initial scheduling, submittals, coordination with owners, scheduling subcontractors and vendor deliveries, to project close out. I am also responsible for tracking all costs associated with projects to maintain profitable work. I control project scheduling, as well as the purchase of materials and delivery scheduling. I work with the team to bill for work completed each month and ensure that all of our subcontractors are paid for their work. I also work directly with the DOT and other owners in negotiation of project change orders and notification of any other project delays. I ensure that all work meets the current NCDOT Standards and Specifications, as well as complies with local laws. I maintain a working relationship with our customers, their engineers and project inspectors to progress jobs and complete projects. In my spare time I enjoy hunting, hiking, traveling, biking and spending time with my family and friends.
