Provides in-patient therapy for neonates to geriatrics on medical surgical floors, critical care, surgical services, level II nursery, the family birthplace center (to include high risk deliveries), and the emergency department. Under the supervision of the medical staff provides general and advanced levels of therapy, patient education, Participates as a member of the trauma and code blue teams, evaluation of CXR for endotracheal tube placement and other pulmonary clinical pathology, reviews laboratory values, fluid balance and medications. Provides Level II Nursery and pediatrics respiratory interventions and pediatric asthma and bronchiolitis management and education. Performs EKG’s, ABG’s, bedside Spirometry, CPR, Nebulizer treatments, IPPB, CPT, IS, Vest, Cough assist, Medineb, Vapotherm, HHF, NIPPV.Ventilator management including APRV, AVAPS and BIPAP weaning, respiratory care consults, assessments and interventions, adult intubation, arterial line insertion and bedside diagnostics.
