About Brian Weber
The most valuable thing any person has - no matter their nationality, culture, social status, fame or wealth - is time. It can make an enemy a friend, a friend an enemy, turn family into strangers and a stranger into family. It can deliver the miracle of life to the sick and the messenger of death to the healthy. It builds empires and destroys civilizations at will. Not even the universe itself can stand in its way. Time is man’s tyrant - an executioner that has no mercy. The lesson is clear and universal: while it is not the best choice, you are free to waste your own time if you like, but any time granted by others should be valued in the highest. Adopt this perspective in business and you will never want for customers.I am originally from St. Louis, Missouri but have been in Dallas, Texas for most of my life. From Dallas, I have traveled to six (6) continents and more than thirty (30) countries in my capacity as a software engineer, trainer and speaker. I have helped companies with everything from team building to standing up and securing data centers to enterprise software planning and implementations. The results speak for themselves and are a source of pride for myself and the teams of incredible individuals who accomplished them. I work with and alongside every member of the team and everyone is empowered with lateral movement to assist others. Over times, the efficiency gains and team velocities improve exponentially, not linearly - far outpacing average development teams. We have migrated multi-account, multi-environment cloud infrastructures and asset build/deploy/run pipelines in weeks, not months, shaving 90% savings from originally estimated costs from vendors. I always strive to increase margins by automating manual, error-prone, outdated tasks. Every project in every company has these agents in their midst, causing problems and increasing costs. By managing lifecycle stages from planning to design to architecture through build and deployment, and cross-cutting security, monitoring and structured logging concerns, no team member is a point of failure. As a Principal member of the technical teams, I translate complex software and systems architecture into their component parts, more efficient developers and teams, more robust, dependable deliverables for the business.Technology is the invisible hand that serves the business objectives - a selfish cooperation that, on a daily basis, encourages the other to question ideas, work harder, improve more and deliver better products and services to clients, customers and consumers.
