About Brian van Brunt
Dr. Brian Van Brunt has worked in the counseling field for more than 30 years, and specializes in educational counseling, behavioral intervention and support, and issues related to mental health and alcohol/substance abuse by students. He served as Director of Counseling at New England College and Western Kentucky University. He was a Partner with The NCHERM Group and served as the President of the National Association of Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (NABITA) and worked at SCN, the security organization for the Jewish Federation, developing training and protecting the Jewish community from threat. He currently is the National Director of Behavior & Threat Management at DPREP and lead content developer at Interactt. He serves as Vassar College\'s Institutional Equity and Title VI Coordinator. He is a prolific writer, having authored numerous books, book chapters, and articles. He has additionally produced various assessment instruments, video training materials, and spends time with his wife and four children.
