OUR STORY
Originally founded as a family-run New York City dairy way back in 1925, Elmhurst spent nearly a century building a reputation for quality as the city’s largest and most trusted dairy provider.
Then in 2016, Elmhurst’s third-generation owner, Henry Schwartz, sensed a growing need for higher-quality plant-based alternatives and led the company through a bold change. The following year, Elmhurst 1925 was founded, giving up dairy to exclusively craft the world’s cleanest, creamiest and most nutritious plant-based foods and beverages.
With over a century of know-how and a focus onwhat’s next, Elmhurst continues to set the standard for what plant-based should be.
All varieties are created through a unique HydroRelease™ method, using water to harness the nutritional content of raw grains, nuts, or seeds. The result - naturally creamy products with more natural protein, fiber and healthy fats, all free from added gums, seed oils or emulsifiers.
All Elmhurst Products begin with whole raw ingredients, and are shelf-stable, Non-GMO, Gluten Free, Vegan, Dairy Free and OU Kosher. And because sustainability is the only way forward our cartons are fully recyclable.
