ABOUT BRIAN STEWART

Brian has a Mining Engineering Degree with 17+ years of experience. He has worked in Canada, Chile, The United States, Brazil, Mexico and Argentina and spent 8+ years living in South America. Brian has spent the past several years with Outliers Mining Solutions support clients on their journey to increase production. Highlights inlcude supporting a gold mining operation transition from startup to production, including a 3X increase in daily tonnage, and helping a mature mine realize a sustained 20% increase in daily production over several months through the Outliers Short Interval Control process. Before joining Outliers, Brian spent several years as the Technical Services Superintendent at Atlantic Gold, in charge of Engineering and the contract drilling and blasting. Brian\'s technical mining experience includes short, medium and long range mine planning, including various levels of studies from Desktop through FS. He has a solid background in mine operations, mine operations optimization projects, geotechnical work, and project work related to water treatment and mine reclamation. Brian is fluent in English and Spanish, and can communicate in Portuguese as well. He has spent time supporting management to bridge the cultural gaps that happen on remote sites through improvement projects and other initiatives. Brian has extensive experience with open pit - multi-pit and multi-phase medium to large size operations.
