Responsible for initiating disability claim filing and appellate actions on improperly evaluated claims on the behalf of Special Forces Veterans and Soldiers. Case manages each claim for clients and advises client claims status until claim is complete and lawfully awarded- Provides advice and representation for service members undergoing medical evaluation boards- Advises veterans and family members on state and local benefits and assistance- Assists Gold Star and Surviving Families with death benefits- Serves as the Green Beret Foundation (GBF) representative to the Command Group of the supported Active Duty and National Guard Special Forces (SF) units in the region- Serves as the conduit for information to and from the GBF to the SF Group CoC and Special Forces Association (SFA) Chapter leadership- Briefs SFA Chapters and members on current information pertaining to veterans\' benefits- Speaks to other community organizations upon request- Provides information to county media and GBF programs and services- Collaborates with the GBF Director of Operations and Programs and Services Manager.
