Project Manager for Bellingham Public Schools. Projects include new $25 million, Alderwood Elementary School for 450 students, auxiliary gymnasium expansion for Shuksan Middle School and new baseball/softball artificial turf fields for Bellingham High School. Ability to provide comprehensive and efficient leadership and management of all construction and design related construction projects including advanced project planning 2022 -$250 million bond. As Project Manager I lead, manage and coordinate the planning, design, budgeting, and construction of capital improvement projects. Provide oversight and assume responsibility for all capital project related activities including pre-design (community liaison, budgeting, scheduling, educational specifications, zoning compliance, permitting, etc.), design, construction and project closeout.Develop and maintain effective communication protocols between district, designer, contractor, community and regulatory entities. Utilize district standard document control systems, financial management systems and software-based schedule systems. Fully comply with Federal, State and local regulations and school district policies related to all projects.Advertise, develop selection criteria, issue contracts and provide ongoing contract management. Work with legal consul to develop project contracts (Architect, Contractor, Consultants, etc.). Contribute to the educational specification process by coordinating the activities of consultants, architects, district staff and community members.
