Commercial litigation is a chess match to see who can capture the Queen first.I have litigated and settled multi-million dollar cases and know that there is always risk on each side of the table. As my client’s Trusted Advisor, I assess and evaluate the position taken by each litigant, then devise a strategic plan to achieve the highest and best result for my client. This process involves strategic negotiation, powerful advocacy and intimate legal knowledge to achieve the desired result.My negotiation skills and analytical ability to discern weaknesses and strengths have proven invaluable to my clients. In 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, I was recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers. Before joining Shields Legal Group, I was a partner at Friedman and Feiger, LLP. I received my B.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003 and received my J.D. from South Texas College of Law in 2006. I am licensed to practice in the State of Texas and I am admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
