As Mergers and acquisitions was becoming a key part of Howden’s growth and business plan, I was brought into a team that just focused on the M&A world rather than Project tasks/BAU previously. My role now with a small team was to design/execute the tasks within a timely manner, which also kept Howden’s security protocols in place. In this time, I have been in this role I have completed around 25-30 Mergers. Raging from small Mergers, to extremely large users.)• Primary build and migration engineer for Citrix in M&A. I would be required to roll out environments in Citrix/MCS for different regions and different business units. These would be for Multi session and single session environments. Ranging from for an environment of 100 users to users.• Working with complex applications, and legacy application to try and ensure they will work to a satisfactory level in Howden for the end user within Citrix.• Provided Tier 3 specialized support, performing advanced troubleshooting of end-user Citrix performance issues and errors across the enterprise Citrix VDI environments.• Experience of Citrix policies, creation of these alongside keeping up to date with current policies. With an ever changing and expanding environment.• Working in a very complex environment, with multi-site and muti forest Active directory environments. This would involve me having to ensure that all Citrix compliance was set up correctly, especially in an environment that was always expanding at a very aggressive pace.• Group policy management, as part of the Citrix changes, I would be tasked with creation of new group policies for the environment, to ensure that the policies have the desired effect for our new environment. This Would range from profile sizing, office add-ins and security policies.• FSLogix Profile Management for user data hosted on Azure Files Premium containers which enabled suitable Outlook Cache and OneDrive cache.
