Moving your loved one into senior care is really hard. I know because I went through this with my own mom starting in 2017 after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer\'s and dementia. Now I\'m committed to helping make this transition easier for other families by helping with one of the biggest obstacles many families face:>> How to quickly deal with the house and all the stuff so that the home equity can be used to pay for senior care.<< Does any of this sound familiar? Your loved one doesn\'t want to leave his home so you try to setup the services he needs to ensure his care and safety. You may have to worry about him falling, transportation, food (how to get it, cook it, make sure it is stored properly and thrown away when no longer safe to eat), medication (refilling prescriptions and over the counter supplements and making sure he takes it), bathing (can he bathe safely in their home? Does he need help?), home maintenance, and more. You realize that living in her own home is no longer safe or feasible. You start to look into assisted living and quickly realize this is going to be expensive. Unless you are lucky and she has a long-term care plan or lots of savings to tap into, it may be time to look into selling the house.
