About Brian Ralston
Brian Ralston, MD is a physician, leader, educator, and author. A native of Virginia, Dr. Ralston received his undergraduate degree from MIT and attended medical school at the University of Virginia. He is Affiliate Assistant Professor in the Stritch School of Medicine, Loyola University of Chicago, and volunteers as preceptor for Loyola medical students at a free health clinic in Chicago. Dr. Ralston has published and lectures in the areas of primary care medicine, medical informatics, and sports medicine. He is co-author of The Caveman’s Pregnancy Companion, and The Caveman’s Guide to Baby’s First Year, books for men about pregnancy and child care.Dr. Ralston practices prolotherapy, an injection-based treatment for chronic pain and disability. As part of the Hackett Hemwall Patterson Foundation, he regularly travels to Honduras on service-learning trips to provide care to underserved populations and teach prolotherapy to other physicians.
