ABOUT BRIAN PINKETT

I build meaning into every encounter—because legacy isn’t what we leave, it’s what we live. Raised in contrast and forged by resilience, I bring a rare blend of vision, cultural fluency, and intuitive clarity to every space and story I shape. As an architect, I design environments, shape cultures, and guide people—always with intention, always for lasting impact. Whether I’m leading a team, mentoring a rising voice, or standing before an audience, I move between worlds with ease—stewarding design and life with uncommon care. My foundation for design was shaped by formative experiences with Graves + Associates and Peterson Littenberg, followed by decades of collaboration with visionary clients and the extraordinary teams at Landry Design Group. • Involvement with a broad spectrum of projects, ranging from institutional and commercial builds to high-end private residences • Awards include the Young American Design Award, La Cité Internationale de Montréal, and an array of Gold Nugget Grand Awards • A few well-known clients include Denzel Washington, Wayne Gretzky, Rod Stewart, Sugar Ray Leonard, Haim Saban, Keyshawn Johnson, Reggie Miller and Mark Wahlberg & I believe in building people as much as places. Education and mentorship are central to my ethos. I’ve taught architecture and design theory at Cornell and continue to advise and invest in the next generation of architects. • B.Arch, Cornell University • Pursued Renaissance Architecture in Rome under renowned historian Colin Rowe • Studied Urban Design in Washington, D.C. • Former TA, Cornell University, Introduction to Architecture Program & Stewardship in design extends beyond the built environment; it shapes culture, memory, and meaning. I’m proud to contribute to organizations that preserve, advance, and celebrate architecture’s enduring legacy. • Board Member, Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (SoCal Chapter) • Member, National Trust for Historic Preservation • Member, Los Angeles Conservancy
