About Brian Peterson
GPD Group has been much more than a job to me. It has been a rewarding entrepreneur filled career. GPD had about 100 employees when I started with them as an intern in 1996. At that time I built my first tower in Brimfield Ohio, for Channel 67. It was a 400\' guyed tower and yes, it is still standing there today. Since I have started, the company has doubled in size 3 times and has opened 12 new offices. Today, we are much more than a Northeast Ohio engineering firm. We are among the top national engineering firms in the United States serving 11 major market sectors. Personally, I have been involved with the growth of 2 of those sectors (Telecom and Energy) and 2 of those offices (Seattle and Atlanta). This career has been a journey with great leadership, team members, and terrific clients that put their trust in us. Together we have sustainably expanded/grown, started new engineering practices, and have created opportunities for young engineers to fulfill their career dreams.

As leader of the Energy Practice, we strive to constantly evolve and continue to push efficient energy solutions to the forefront of design. We recognize the need for specialized engineering and offer consulting solutions that help our customers optimize their assets and meet the needs of stakeholders. I lead a multidisciplinary team that has extensive energy experience nationwide and has the capacity to deliver at every phase of a project. We add value during the feasibility/preliminary design through interconnection to the grid.We provide expertise for major utilities, developers and several Fortune 500 Companies throughout the United States. We have worked on over 20% of the active DCFC across America. From small sites to fleet programs, we have the staff and the experience to deliver well thought-out development. We also support battery projects, fuel cells, solar, natural gas distribution, and midstream transmission projects.
