   Commander of the Professional Standards Unit responsible for the investigation and oversight of all Internal and External affairs matters across 25 Police Departments in Union County. Develop and foster relationships with governmental agencies and collaborate with Internal Affairs Units across the state. Review and oversight of all Internal Affairs cases involving racial profiling, deferential treatment, excessive force and police pursuit with injury. Implementation of training programs for prospective Internal Affairs personnel throughout Union County. Responsible for developing policy and procedure to effectively implement Attorney General guidelines and directives. Ensured all Union County departments are compliant with Attorney General directives, guidelines, policies including drug testing, major discipline and early warningSergeant assigned to the Special Victims Unit, supervising investigations involving sexual assaults, endangering the welfare of a child, abusive head trauma and child abuse cases. Liaison for all Human Trafficking investigations in Union County which involved sex trafficking, labor trafficking and domestic servitude. Executed search warrants, communication data warrants and pen registers in the furtherance of investigations to obtain evidence and cell phone information. Conducted thousands of interviews of victims, witnesses and suspects, including forensic interviews of children under the age of 12. Testified under oath during tender years hearing, Miranda hearings and trials. Qualified as an expert by the Superior Court of New Jersey.Detective assigned to the Special Victims Unit, Major Crimes Unit, Megan’s Law Unit, Criminal Case Control Unit, Domestic Violence Unit and Grand Jury Unit. Assisted with homicide investigations. Worked in an undercover capacity purchasing narcotics.
