    The Construction Manager of Transportation coordinates with supervisory personnel and is responsible for the planning, directing, coordinating, and budgeting of infrastructure construction processes from the conceptual/development stage through final construction (including organization, scheduling, implementation, and fiscal activities) while ensuring that the highest quality transportation inspection services are maintained. Lead and oversee performance of constructability reviews to ensure project can be reasonably constructed as designed, including coordinating with other disciplines, identifying cost saving alternatives, and evaluating contractors means and methods for practicality, safety, and scheduling impacts. Interpret highway contracts, special provisions, plans, and specifications, as well as follow client policies and procedures. Serve as liaison between project management and planning, project team, client and management. Supervise scheduling of staff. Assist with business development and marketing efforts to meet goals and objectives, including development of staffing/man-hour estimates to assist with development of proposals and bids, strategizing negotiation techniques and approaches and develop partnership with clients. Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement and customer satisfaction opportunities, perform financial functions including assisting with planning and implementing budgets, managing invoicing and supporting Accounting group with resolution of disputed balances, and reviewing financial reports. Personnel management, including recruiting, interviewing, selecting, training, and motivate and mentoring staff. Managing employee performance by emphasizing productivity, efficiency, and service delivery consistent with Company Mission and Vision, as well as all other duties as assigned.
