Brian A. Kyes is currently the Owner and President of Blue Integrity Consulting, LLC and the Law Office of Brian A. Kyes, both located in Salem, Massachusetts. Both companies offer a variety of legal and consulting services to both general clients and a multitude of services to law enforcement agencies in Massachusetts and throughout New England, including assessment centers and testing, exam writing, administrative investigations, evidence audits, policy and Accreditation support, and training and capacity building. Brian Kyes was sworn in as US Marshal for the District of Massachusetts on 10/19/22 by Chief Judge Dennis Saylor of the US District Court for the District of Massachusetts. He was nominated by President Joe Biden on 5/25/22, confirmed by the US Senate on 9/29/22 and officially appointed by President Biden on 10/17/22. Brian Kyes officially retired as the US Marshal for the District of Massachusetts in June of 2025 to pursue his law practice and consulting business.Prior to becoming a US a Marshal, Brian Kyes had worked for the Chelsea Police Department for 35 years since June of 1987 before officially retiring on 10/7/22. He had been promoted through the chain of command [Sergeant (1994), Lieutenant (1996), Captain (2002)] until becoming the 20th permanent Chief of Police in 2007. He also served as Union President from 19••••98 before being assigned as the IA Investigator. With a tenure of 15 years he was the longest serving Chelsea Police Chief since 1982. The Chelsea Police Department is a State Accredited Police Department (2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, & 20•••15 sworn officers and 15 civilian employees which provides the community at large with professional law enforcement services. The City of Chelsea is located just north of Boston.
