ABOUT BRIAN KELLY

Brian Kelly is a pharmaceutical industry government affairs and public policy leader with extensive and diverse experience and has led state and federal government relations and policy functions at a number of global pharmaceutical companies during his tenure in the industry. He currently serves as the Senior Director of Novo Nordisk’s State Government Affairs team and as a member of the Public Affairs Leadership Team. Prior to entering the private sector, his career comprised a variety of positions in government and not-for-profit leadership. These roles included service on the staff of a NJ Member of Congress, member of the professional staff of a Congressional Committee, in-house counsel and chief lobbyist for the New Jersey State Bar Association and as senior counsel to a New Jersey Governor.Brian’s professional endeavors have been complemented by his commitment to community service. He served for 4 successive terms as Mayor and member of the Chesterfield NJ Township Committee, where he was also a member of the Township’s Planning Board and Environmental Commission and served as Police Commissioner. During his tenure in office, Chesterfield Township received state and national acclaim and international acknowledgment for its visionary master plan, and was recognized in various publications and in multiple years as one of the best small towns in New Jersey. He currently serves and the Vice-Chair of the township’s Planning Board.Brian is a graduate of Rutgers College and received his juris doctorate from Seton Hall Law School, where he was selected as a member of the Legislative Bureau and Journal. Brian is lucky and proud to be married to Deborah Marquis Kelly, and of his two children, Maeve and Braden. They live in Crosswicks, Chesterfield Township, New Jersey.
