Serves as a senior representative for the department, coordinates with city, county, state, and federal law enforcement agencies on complex matters, also serves as an advisor on best practices for businesses, local infrastructure owners/operators, and other private sector organizations requiring assistance in protection, planning, mitigation, business continuity resiliency planning.* Acts as a liaison between DHS and other federal agencies, state and local law enforcement agencies, and the private sector on security matters relative to the protection of the nation’s critical infrastructure and key resource assets.* Functions as a subject matter expert on physical security protective measures, policies, and procedures, provides intelligence analytical products and infrastructure resiliency reports to utility providers and other critical infrastructure partners.* Facilitates Counter-Terrorism, Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Threat Mitigation, Workplace Violence, and Active Shooter Preparedness Training for utility providers, school districts, private sector businesses, and other regional stakeholders.* Conducts threat and vulnerability assessments of private sector businesses and infrastructures to evaluate and mitigate threats from terrorism, cyber-attacks, as well as natural hazards.* Plans and coordinates training and exercise programs for private sector organizations in accordance with the DHS Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP).* Performs as the Deputy Federal Coordinator and Government Liaison during National Security Special Events (NSSEs) and Special Event Assessment Rating (SEAR) Events such as; the Rose Bowl and Tournament of Roses Parade, Super Bowl, Special Olympic World Games (SOWG), Summit of the Americas (SOA), Academy Awards and Golden Globes Awards Ceremonies.
