Summary of Qualifications • CPA/CTP and MS in Finance (with over 12 years of experience) including tax management, auditing, internal controls, public accounting, financial reporting and analysis, AP, AR, reconciliations, payroll, and tax planning. Strong understanding of GAAP. • Strong financial analysis/insights with expert Excel skills • Expertise in financial modeling (have built sales forecasts, capital budgets, investment evaluation models), financial analysis, treasury management, and auditing. I have over 12 years of accounting/finance experience, managing teams, have two degrees (MS Finance and a BS in Accounting) from the University of Colorado (ranked the 20th best business school in the US by USNWR) and have three professional certifications (Certified Public Accountant, Certified Treasury Professional and Certified Bloomberg Professional.) There are fewer than 1% of CPA\'s who have a CTP certification so I offer a uniquely valuable financial skill set. Even fewer have the combined certifications (CPA and CTP) while also holding an MS in Finance. I have worked 75+ hours per week (during tax season) while earning all A’s in graduate school, a daunting task. Accountants look retrospectively. Finance looks prospectively. I am accomplished in both disciplines enabling me to bring a unique and integrated perspective that improves operations and performance. I am one of the very few industry professionals who hold a university degree and a professional certification in both the fields of finance AND accounting. I have extensive experience as a staff auditor, and in the fields of accounting, tax analysis, treasury, financial analysis, payroll, financial modeling, public accounting, and am Bloomberg certified for trading and investment analysis. Clients have included corporations, governments, universities, partnerships, and individual entities. I also minored in music performance at CU and am ranked in the top 10% of chess players in the US.
