Over 20 years of Sales, Commercial and Project Management experience gained within Maritime, Defence & Security (Software/Electronics), Aerospace & Building Services Industries.• Maritime Engineering - Over 1 ¾ years running the Bid Management Function for Harland & Wolff (Belfast) Limited. This role also included the oversight of the expansion of the H&W Group bid team to win larger and more complex projects and ultimately exceed company and multi-site growth targets. In less than 2 years the function has grown from a team of 2 to 7 employees supporting Maritime Engineering & Support/Repair regarding Defence, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Cruise & Ferry and Commercial Sectors. Within 2 years, H&W Belfast annual turnover is currently estimated to have increased by over 1800%, from £9.2m to ~£170m.• Defence & Security (Software/Electronics)- 4 ¾ years of Project/Bid Management with 7Technologies, specialists in the design & manufacture of ISTAR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Target acquisition, and Reconnaissance) systems. This role included the implementation and oversight of a new bid management process including new bid templates to provide the business with clear visibility of proposed contract scope, risks and associated costs in order that strategic bid decisions could be made with confidence. During my time at 7Technologies over £25m worth of potential contracts progressed through the new process and approximately £11.5m (45%) of these contracts were awarded.• Aerospace - 9 ½ years of senior Project Management roles with Bombardier Aerospace. Extensive experience gained managing fast paced, high value, highly complex, highly regulated engineering / product development projects and their associated test programmes with multiple international stakeholder involvement. 2 years spent managing sustaining programmes regarding Operations / Production / Tier 1 Supplier Management. Experience also gained managing / coaching direct reports and large multi-functional project teams.• Building Services - 4 years of Project/Commercial Management with Rotary (International) Limited regarding Building Services contracts. Business development experience gained in estimating and the creation & assimilation of pre-qualification & tender submissions. Substantial experience gained in project / commercial & sub-contractor management regarding large Mechanical & Electrical Infrastructure and Utility installation contracts from design through to commissioning within the international marketplace.
