Collectively, the members of the Select Board are the Chief Elected Officials and Executive Officers of the Town. The Select Board enacts rules and regulations to implement policies for the orderly and efficient operation of Town government. My liaison assignments include the Agricultural Committee, Board of Health, Council on Aging, Insurance Committee, Recreation Activities Committee, and MBTA Advisory Board, including Commuter Rail Committee.Settled in 1624 and established as a town in 1637, Duxbury is among the oldest communities in Massachusetts. Comprised of 36 square miles and an extensive shoreline, Duxbury is home to over residents. With an annual budget approaching $100M, the Town is immensely appreciative of its dedicated employees who provide high-quality services including an award-winning school system, police, fire/rescue, public works, senior engagement, library, and recreational activities.
