Lead Delivery Manager (Risk Audit & Assurance) @National Highways

Having joined National Highways at the end of October 2022, I secured promotion in March 2024. Having added value by improving the business function performance in relation to Risk, Assurance and Audit outcomes. The objective of this new role is that I’m responsible for continuing to raise maturity levels and standards across the Digital Services function and act as the main interface into the Corporate Risk & Assurance function.Key achievements • Designed and delivered Risk Management training sessions across the Digital Services function to raise maturity levels • Introduced industry recognised risk management techniques to capture risk using the bowtie methodology and documenting key controls across the business functions • Taking the lead to develop key risk indicators and meaningful risk reporting • Improved the Digital Services audit performance from having 140 management actions (16 overdue) in March 2023 to having 50 management actions (2 overdue) in January 2024• The business risk lead on a centre of excellence to raise standards and capability across project and programme risk management in Digital Services
