ABOUT BRIAN COUVES
I hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Upon Graduation in 1987, I started as Electrical Engineer with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro and, after six years, went on to hold senior technical and management positions with Cable Atlantic, Rogers Cable, Persona Communications, Rutter Technologies, and Rutter Engineering. Now, with over 35 years of experience, my excitement and passion for each new project I take on, is what drives me to succeed. I am also a proud registered member of the Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) and have also received my Certification in Quality Management from the American Society of Quality (ASQ). Formerly, I held a position as sessional lecturer with Memorial University’s Faculty of Engineering, and have also served on a Section Subcommittee with the Canadian Standards Association (Canadian Electrical Code). I enjoy sharing time with my wife, Helen, and my family between our home in St. John’s and our home away from home, on Fogo Island.
