ABOUT BRIAN COURT
With over 20 years of experience in design and leadership at The Miller Hull Partnership, I’m continually working to advance projects with complex programmatic demands, rooted in a rigorous performance-based design process. As a proud advocate for groundbreaking sustainable design, I have been involved in numerous high-profile and complex landmark design projects in which I worked with my team to develop innovative design strategies using emerging technologies. I believe that architectural solutions should be limited to the essentials and architects should do more with less. I believe that architecture should have honesty and integrity and that projects should evolve from a systems-based process driven by environmental and programmatic forces.I have had the good fortune to be able to work with many dedicated colleagues, industry partners, professors and students to push the boundaries of current practice and share my insights and experiences. As the design lead for many projects, I aim to engage with public groups and bring disparate teams together as an integrated whole to build consensus and advance the design process. In every project, I actively seek input from consulting professionals to foster an integrated horizontal design team and leverage a range of options and perspectives to achieve the best possible solution. Together, we can benefit society by addressing problems faced through design.
