ABOUT BRIAN COLE

Brian is a senior executive with 25 years of leadership experience in consumer financial services and payments at companies including Capital One, Barclays and Visa. He has a proven track record of turnarounds, vision-setting and delivering strong financial results across the US and UK. Brian also has provided leadership development and strategic advisory services in consumer financial services and payments.Most recently, Brian was the Regional Head and SVP of Product, North America at Visa, where he was responsible for core consumer payment products, growing value-added services revenue and spearheaded various key strategic initiatives in Visa’s home and largest market.Prior to Visa, Brian served as CEO of Barclaycard UK Consumer and CEO of Capital One UK. At Barclays, Brian ran the market leader and most profitable business unit within Barclays group, leading an organization of more than employees through a period of intensifying competition and consumer regulation. As CEO of Capital One UK, Brian brought the division out of the recession to four years of unprecedented growth and profitability and focused the organization on greatly improving the customer experience. Brian established the “Make Lives Better” strategic vision which transformed the culture and significantly grew employee engagement from the lowest to the highest of any division at Capital One. This work led to notable industry recognition, including the Great Places to Work award as Europe’s “#1 Employer”and “Most Trusted Leadership, UK”.Brian has held various board and advisory roles with Which? Financial Services, Apollo Global Management, and Warburg Pincus.
