I first started my Horticultural and Arboricultural career working for The City of Seattle Parks and Recreation as a Seasonal Laborer for 6 years through high school and college. This was the beginning of my lifelong thirst for knowledge and curiosity for all the life that the forest and trees sustain. I was raised hiking and camping in the North Cascades. The forest has always made me feel at home. I had one desire after high school, that was to study horticulture. At South Seattle College, without a second thought, I immediately enrolled in the reputable Landscape Horticulture Program. After three years in the program, I graduated with Associates of Applied Science Degrees in: Landscape Design & Build; Landscape Management; & Horticulture. After completing my studies in 2005, my sole desire was to become an Arborist. I finished my last (6th) season with Seattle Parks and Recreation. That October of 2005, I started my arborist career working for Trees For Life, Inc. I learned and grew exponentially for those first 5 years. I continued my career in self employment and various other companies until 2018, I took my part time arborist business and focussed all my efforts towards sharpening my skills and professional growth.I have been an Arborist for 20 years from October of 2005-Present. I am now transitioning from being a climbing arborist and 1-2 person tree care specialist to this new role as an Arborist Sales Representative for Davey Tree Experts. I’m looking forward to broadening my horizons with Davey Tree Experts. I continue to challenge myself and am devoted to a lifelong learning journey. STAY SAFE!
