About Brian Billings

I have been a Head Baseball Coach for 17 years (as of 2017), starting at the community college level, and advancing over the past 15 years to head coach positions at two highly selective NCAA Universities. I have been a people manager, in terms of managing and supervising student-athletes and assistant coaches. My roles have also involved guiding athletes and coaches through a process of self-evaluation for improvement and to develop action plans and goals. I\'ve been an Athletic Administrator as both head baseball coach and Athletic Facilities Manager. My duties involved facility scheduling, coordinating staffing, working with various departments on the maintenance of these facilities, and supervising the Fitness Center. I\'ve managed and balanced budgets within limited resources. I\'ve also managed fundraising efforts so successfully that we\'ve managed to double our operational budget most years. I\'ve gained a good measure of proficiency as a student-athlete recruiter, starting with prospect identification and ending with closing and securing our annual recruiting classes. Ive also been called on as an event coordinator when dealing with prospects and youth champs, as well as interfacing with alumni, parents, and boosters. Experience coordinating travel and accommodations for away and non-conference might also equate to event planning. I have also worked Athletic Competition Game Operations for several years.
