Senior scientific leader with a Ph.D. in synthetic organic chemistry and over 22 years of experience, specializing in the pharmaceutical development of novel medicines for unmet medical needs. Extensive experience in CMC management including the development and launch of XPOVIO® (selinexor), and the synthesis of natural product derivatives employing complex chemistry such as that found in the 63-step synthesis of the highly potent oncology drug Halaven® (eribulin) and the ring expanded cyclopamine analog patidegib. Lead numerous optimization efforts of API synthetic routes and CMC efforts in support of NCE IND’s and NDA’s, and pharmaceutical development teams including formulations, analytical, supply chain, and process chemistry.
