About Brett Rickeard
I\'m a drug delivery scientist with a passion for solving big problems with small particles. My background is in lipid nanoparticle and nucleic acid delivery research, where I’ve spent several years developing, optimizing, and characterizing formulations while partnering closely with biology, process development, and manufacturing teams to move programs forward. In my roles, I’ve led formulation and screening efforts, built and standardized analytical methods, and applied data-driven approaches to improve performance in both in vitro and in vivo systems. I enjoy digging into experimental challenges, understanding why something works (or doesn’t), and translating those insights into practical improvements—whether that’s refining a formulation, scaling a process, or helping others get more reliable data.Alongside hands-on research, I’ve developed a strong applications mindset. I’ve supported scientists by troubleshooting complex workflows, explaining tools and data clearly, and adapting solutions to real-world constraints. I enjoy communicating science—through presentations, customer interactions, or cross-functional discussions—and I’m motivated by helping teams and technologies succeed. My experience spans industry and academic research, with a foundation in biophysics and drug delivery and exposure to a range of analytical and nanoparticle characterization techniques. I’m driven by curiosity, collaboration, and continuous learning, and I’m motivated by opportunities where I can apply deep scientific thinking while staying closely connected to experimental execution, real-world constraints, and the people using the technology.
