Respond promptly to hospital-wide codes and medical emergencies to assist with intubation- Maintain inventory of machines/carts related to provision of anesthesia- Differentiate the capabilities, limitations, and special applications of anesthesia machines/carts- Anticipate the needs of Providers based on location (OR vs. Non-Operating Room Anesthesia)- Identify power supplies, circuit breakers, and medical gas connectors for each machine- Maintain the stock of pyxis machines and drug boxes- Utilize knowledge of biotechnology and monitoring to prepare medical equipment and supplies based on patient needs- Identify missing instrument/equipment and works with team to locate and retrieve missing items- Assemble invasive and non-invasive monitoring equipment- Prepare scopes and probes specific to patient care procedures (bronchoscopes, TEE probes, etc.)- Perform troubleshooting and emergency procedures in the event of equipment failure- Collaborate with nursing staff on case/room turnover- Perform routine room setup for each new case, ensuring availability and function of equipment/supplies (including emergency equipment) prior to start within the specified time frame.
