ABOUT BRETT K. ANDERSON

As a seasoned healthcare executive with extensive experience in both health and nonprofit sectors, I am deeply committed to driving positive social change. My focus lies in developing data-driven solutions and fostering innovative partnerships. I am dedicated to building a connected, technology-enhanced, and integrated ecosystem for housing, care, and services, underpinned by strategic innovation and operational excellence. I lead with expertise in clinical, innovation, and operational initiatives, focusing on advanced solutions for health and societal challenges. I am committed to enhancing services for disadvantaged communities and tackling issues like homelessness, elder abuse, and food insecurity. My work emphasizes providing comprehensive home and community-based services for underserved populations and ensuring access to affordable, stable housing with innovative services for older adults. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Management & Public Service from Hamline University, with a research focus on cross-sector solutions to the most consequential issues in nonprofit senior housing and services. In addition to my professional role, I serve on the Minnesota State University, Mankato Foundation Board, the Board of the Faith Community Nurse Network, and several college advisory boards. I also volunteer as a healthcare provider with the Medical Reserve Corp, demonstrating a deep commitment to community service and healthcare provision. Joining Ecumen in 2014 as a Clinical Director, I have progressed through roles of increasing responsibility, including Vice President of Health and Clinical Services. My journey in healthcare leadership began with founding and managing CareLogix Nursing Solutions, reflecting a deep-rooted entrepreneurial spirit. Beyond executive management, I have shared my insights and expertise as an Adjunct Instructor at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and Saint Paul College, shaping future healthcare professionals. Appointed by Governor Mark Dayton, I served on the Board of Trustees for the Minnesota State College & Universities System, highlighting my commitment to education and public service. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Metropolitan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Minnesota State University, Mankato. I am a Registered Nurse, Public Health Nurse, and board-certified Nurse Executive.
