BRETT M. WINTERSTEIN, a Partner in Kilpatrick\'s Business & Finance Group, serves as outside \"general counsel\" to middle-market businesses throughout the United States. He concentrates his practice primarily in counseling clients in connection with mergers and acquisitions, federal and state securities matters, debt and equity offerings, venture capital and private equity matters, commercial financings (both borrower and lender representation), and other general business matters. Brett\'s clients include, among others, onshore and offshore manufacturers, food and beverage distributors, third-party logistics companies and asset-based trucking companies, commercial banks, private equity groups, search funds, technology start-ups and investment advisors.While in law school, Brett served as the Community Service Chairperson of the Student Bar Association and externed at the Federal Public Defender-Eastern District of Missouri.On a personal level, Brett enjoys traveling, golfing and spending time with his wife, Michelle, daughters, Logan and Hayden, and son, Brody.
