ABOUT BRETT THORPE M. D.
I was fortunate to grow up in Salt Lake City, Utah and attended Olympus High School. After high school I spent two years living abroad in southern Italy, a place I continue to hold dear to my heart. After completing a BS degree in Psychology at the University of Utah, I was able to attend an receive my MD degree as well as complete my Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Utah. My training then took me to Tucson Arizona where I completed my Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Arizona. Upon completion of my fellowship in 2006, my family and I returned to Provo where I began my Gastroenterology practice at Revere Health. I have a particular interest and focused training in the treatment of Crohns disease and ulcerative colitis. I also have additional interest in quality improvement practices, especially as they relate to the care provided to my patients. I have had many opportunities to serve in leadership positions during my years of practice. I have served as the Chair of Revere Health Gastroenterology, the Director of Endoscopic Services for Intermountain Healthcare\'s Urban South Region, and the Director of Endoscopy for Intermountain Healthcare\'s Surgical Services Clinical Program.
