About Brett Stidham

I am an Executive Director of Feeder at Houston ISD, where I coach and consult with secondary schools in the Central Division to achieve ambitious outcomes for scholars. With nearly 15 years of experience in education leadership and instruction, I have a proven track record of transforming schools and empowering students and educators from low-income and diverse backgrounds.Previously, I was the Principal at IDEA Public Schools, a high-performing charter school network that prepares scholars for college and beyond. In this role, I oversaw the academic, operational, and cultural excellence of a school that served over 600 students, and leveraged my skills in curriculum development, data analysis, and talent strategy to ensure high-quality instruction and outcomes. I also collaborated with other principals, district leaders, and external partners to share best practices and drive continuous improvement across the network. In addition to my current role, I am pursuing my Doctor of Education degree at Texas A&M University, where I am expanding my knowledge and skills in education administration, policy, and research. My goal is to become a superintendent and a visionary leader in the field of education. I believe that education is the key to social justice and equity, and I am committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all.
