ABOUT BRETT STEWART
Brett is a senior partner at McMillan and a leader of their cross border transactions practice. Known for her experience in Private Equity and M&A, Brett is a highly experienced negotiator who regularly assists domestic and foreign clients with complex transactions including mergers and acquisitions, private equity financings, corporate reorganizations, private placements, venture capital financings and management buyouts. In addition, Brett is a trusted business advisor providing guidance and strategic input to clients on their day-to-day corporate and commercial issues. Brett is Chair of the American Bar Association\'s Private Equity and Venture Capital Committee, a member of McMillan\'s Board of Partner\'s and Chair of McMillan\'s Audit Committee. Brett is recognized for Private Equity Buyouts by Chambers, included in Lexpert\'s Special Edition on Canada\'s Leading Mergers & Acquisitions Lawyers, and was previously the recipient of Lexpert\'s Rising Star/Leading Lawyer in Canada under 40 award. Brett is currently adjunct faculty at Queen\'s University Faculty of Law teaching Private Equity Law, and previously served as adjunct faculty at Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, where she taught Business Associations.
