About Brett Perlman

I have had a multifaceted career spanning management consulting, senior government leadership roles and experience as a non-profit CEO. My career has been centered on having significant social and business impact. I have devoted the last eight years to addressing climate change and have achieved a global reputation for my work in making the Gulf Coast a global low carbon energy leader. To continue that journey, I recently founded a Gulf Energy Catalyst, a social enterprise which seeks to catalyze the Gulf Coast\'s clean energy economy.Earlier in my career, I served as a state policy maker, where I led the restructuring of the $37 billion Texas power market, now recognized globally for its successful industrial transformation model. I have counseled senior executives, private equity firms, and technology companies on strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and market development, with a focus on clean energy and utility transformation and have served as an independent board director at both public and private equity-backed companies.
