Function as the signal processing SCRUM master by running daily stand-up meetings and by communicating team progress metrics to leadership; collaborate with the team’s product owner to maintain the backlog, derive future build plans, and assign work items based on the priority of the program’s build plan • Solve various challenges and simulated missions by implementing electro-optical signal processing algorithms and techniques; conduct analysis on developed algorithms to inform results, drive system tuning, and demonstrate performance in the context of program requirements • Constructed a low fidelity version of the video processing algorithms, increasing simulation speed by a factor over 50, to enable conducting video analysis • Instantiated an inline method to output simulated data and calculated metrics for different algorithms at a common rate; constructed offline scripts to process, interpret, and visualize outputted Monte Carlo data, for engineers to perform analysis and understand results • Implemented a modular video calibration mode that enabled easy manipulation for different types of calibration sequences for multiple sensors • Worked with a team of 8 engineers to implement a signal processing chain within a 6DOF simulation, containing multiple high fidelity sensor models with video processing algorithms, detection processing, and a tracker; utilized polymorphism to support varying sensor models requiring different configurations • Recognized an inefficiency in the algorithm development feedback loop; obtained company funding to design and develop a solution that demonstrated acceptable results and revealed the potential for follow-on work throughout various programs; awarded a trade secret within the company • Led a team of 4 engineers, over 1 month, to implement a new type of scenario that was critical to be completed within the program’s build contract
