ABOUT BRETT NYGREN

Currently, I am a senior at the University of Missouri graduating in May of 2024. I am seeking an entry-level sales position that allows me to use my recent sales internship experience in prospecting, establishing customer rapport and selling skills to drive sales growth. Looking for an opportunity to work for a competitive, growth-oriented and mission-driven company.This summer, I worked as a junior sales specialist at Premium Merchant Funding in Miami, FL. I was responsible for bringing in new business through prospecting and conducting outbound sales calls selling business loans to small and medium-sized companies with annual revenue of $7.5 million or less. I learned and developed skills in persuasion, objection handling, rapport building, and closing.Last semester I had the opportunity to study abroad in Vienna, Austria. I was able to become more proficient in the German language and immerse myself in a different culture. During my semester abroad I was selected to work as a High School English teacher at Sir Karl Popper Schule in the 4th district of Vienna. I created lesson plans and presentations to facilitate engagement and interaction with students based on topics they picked.As a member of The Phi Delta Theta fraternity, I have had many opportunities to become more involved at my university. Last year, I was elected as the Interfraternity Council\'s Vice President of Recruitment. During this role, I delivered live, persuasive presentations to 600+ prospective new members and current fraternity members, resulting in an 8% increase in participation over the previous year. I also managed a marketing database of potential new member information and provided fraternities with easy-to-access data, communication materials, and scheduling.
